Zahi is a corrupt, anti semitic glory hog now unuseful for Egyptology. Purge him.

He protests anything Egyptology related that he was not involved with.

Unfortunately that sleezeball got rehired as director of antiquities because he's been so successful at making himself irreplaceable by keeping away the comptent ones. It will be a good day for Egypt when he is finally retired, preferably to a jail cell, permanently.

I briefly skimmed the article, does this mean that these are ancient pyramids sunken into the earth? Or uncompleted foundations?

The images are showing where there are changes in density enough to cause a difference in the reflection of far IR light. E.g., stone will be different than fill made of silt. It's not very high resolution, but the image is enough to demonstrate un-natural formations. In one regards Zahi is correct - we don't know if they are pyramids or were partially complete pyramids or sites intended for pyramids, or perhaps other structures which look like a pyramid site from a plan view.

Doesn't matter. He's stymied excavations in the Valley of the Kings because other Egyptologists stole his thunder.

Purge him.

Zahi Hawass is personally close to the Bush family, which will work against him now that his patron Mubarak is gone.

Pointing that satellite at Jerusalem could lead to a lot of new finds.

Pointing that thing anywhere between Greece and India will lead to fun times.

I have SO many examples have Hawass being, as scientists have termed, a Grade-A Douchebag
